Samsung Galaxy Tab - an Objective Review

Publié le 24/09/2013 à 01:07 par rayon0lou Tags : best technology review blog

A comparison of current tablet PCs would give us what information about the Samsung Galaxy Tab line? We'll find the answer to this question and present it in this review for your enlightenment - both the good features and any drawbacks present. Samsung, a name that is well regarded for their quality products, has thrown their hat into the PC tablet field with their introduction of the Android based Galaxy Tabs.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab uses Android which, as you may know, is produced by Google. As you may have heard, Google has integrated several of the best services into its Android-based devices giving users quite an advantage in some areas. For people that get lost very easily, Galaxy Tab has a built-in GPS system that interacts with Google Maps. If you have a Gmail account, you can access it with your tablet wherever you may be. There's a YouTube app on this tablet - just turn it on, and find the videos that you want to see. Google Talk is also included, allowing you to chat with friends and family at the same time using this application. Samsung Galaxy Tab really does have a lot of features, specifically services from Google, that will make your life easier. Any of these three tablets make great eBook readers, and you will enjoy using them for this purpose. Kindle for Android is pre-installed on this tablet, so you have instant access to the entire Kindle Store. So whether or not you have a Kindle device, you can download and read a large selection of books from Amazon, as well as many magazines and newspapers. If you have any other devices that are compatible with Kindle, such as a PC, Mac, many smart phones or of course an actual Kindle, you can synch all of these up so your Kindle library is accessible on all of them. For people who read, a Kindle eBook reader, in whatever format, is a great resource.

There are different types of Samsung Galaxy Tabs, including those that use the 3G network, and those that access the Internet with WiFi. If you do get the 3G version, it operates through Sprint, which is very reliable in most locations. Samsung has reduced the capacity of its Wi-Fi version so it no longer works as well. The WiFi connection typically crashes causing many problems. That's why you may want to take a look at the 3G version of the Galaxy Tab, which has no such problems. Access to the Internet is limited to only those that signed a contract and purchase the Samsung Galaxy Tab through Sprint. It appears that, for the time being at least, that the 3G version of the Galaxy Tab outperforms the Wi-Fi version. A great value for the price, with so many options, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is really the way to go. The only problem with some of the models from Samsung is that the WiFi capability is lacking in a large way. So if you're looking for affordability, and a host of very good features on a tablet, the Galaxy Tab is probably for you.
